THE ARIA QUARTET

Pegis' Quartet at the Heifetz International Music Institute plays Mendelssohn's Sixth String Quartet in F Minor, Op. 80, II.

ABOUT THE HEIFETZ INSTITUTE OF MUSIC

The Heifetz Institute provides an intense six-week summer program for solo performance and chamber music. In addition to the intensity of two private lessons each week and five hours per day of practice time, the students take a series of one hour classes each afternoon (one per day) in public speaking, voice, drama, movement, and freedom of expression. This innovative, comprehensive, and cross-disciplinary curriculum can enhance anyone's ability to become a more expressive and communicative person.

THE CSYO

The 52-year-old Cincinnati Symphony Youth Orchestras program consists of three ensembles representing over 200 of the region’s most talented young musicians in grades 7-12

ABOUT THE CSYO

CSYO aims to reinforce excellence in students and challenge them to expand their own boundaries through the highest level of music performance and collaboration. Ensembles rehearse weekly, perform up to five concerts per year, and receive access to the world class instructional resources of the CSO, including coaching from CSO musicians and leadership from CSO Assistant Conductor Gene Chang.
